MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience: Associate degree or two year diploma in a directly related field required plus three years related experience.
Skills:
- Must be knowledgeable and able to perform duties of technicians and trainees.
- Must become knowledgeable in the budget process, station cost center breakdown, accounting system, and the account numbers.
- Personnel, accounting, safety and CMMS training to be completed at the first opportunity after promotion date
- Computer literacy required.
- Willingness to learn is required.
- Computer troubleshooting of plant computer control systems.
1. Assist department foreperson in implementing a safety program within the department that complies with all established safe work practices (pre-job and post-job).
2. Trouble shoot, repair, and maintain:
- Station HVAC and control
- Tune station and auxiliary combustion control systems
- Wastewater, feedwater, and condensate system controls.
- Calibrate all transducers measuring pressure, temperature flow, and level.
- Calibrate turbine/generator controls and supervisory systems.
- Calibrate electric and pneumatic controls, operators and positioners.
- Air emission monitoring equipment and complete all required reports and maintain all required files.
- Plant data acquisition system.
- Environmental, including active carbon injection system, dry sorbent injection system and selective catalytic reduction system.
3. Install cable and conduit on a limited basis.
4. Safely work on equipment with steam pressures of 6000 PSI and 1000F.
5. Complete instrument equipment records related to tests, modifications, repairs and preventative maintenance. Complete necessary documentation for prints and drawings.
6. Be familiar with equipment vendor information files, reports, instrument maintenance procedures and other written materials assigned.
7. Maintain a high degree of proficiency by attending training programs offered. Assist in the training of instrument trainees.
8. Maintain electrical and pneumatic test and safety equipment in proper operating order.
9. Maintain clean, orderly and hazard-free work areas.
10. Prepare instrument maintenance procedures.
11. Protect Cooperative property.
12. Other duties historically performed by this classification and other related or comparable duties as assigned.
