The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Functions primarily in a design role
- Responsible for developing initial layouts, revise existing computer aided design files, including P&ID's, wiring diagrams, cause & effects, single-lines, hazardous area plans, etc.
- reating and manipulating drawings from conceptual markups or verbal instructions to the Client's Corpus Christi requirements / engineering standards
- providing technical assistance to the project team,
- coordinating design with other disciplines to ensure a cohesive design package
- Provides I&E engineering & design support for both cost (expense) and capital projects in the design process.
- Including defining E&I details of scopes provided by plant engineers,
- Obtains quotes based on specifications provided by plant engineers
- Provides technical guidance and review for Instrument/Electrical scope of work and bill of material for completeness and accuracy before job packages are approved by plant engineers
- Provides technical expertise to communicate/work with other internal and external Instrument/Electrical Engineers
- Provides troubleshooting expertise of implemented design during commissioning of projects
Responsibilities:
Experience Requirements:
- 5 10 years E&I Design/ drafting related experience in chemical / specialty chemical in-plant experience, preferred
- Microstation CE proficiency or certification required.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.
