DEPARTMENT: Integrative Physiology and Health Science

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of Integrative Physiology and Health Science (IPHS) at Alma College invites applications for a full-time Instructor/Lecturer of Anatomy & Physiology beginning August 2024. This is a one-year faculty position with possibility of renewal based on performance and college need.

TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to quality undergraduate education. Teaching responsibilities will include 200-level Anatomy & Physiology and 400-level Anatomy classes and laboratories, and possibly other coursework according to candidate expertise. Full-time teaching load is six courses per year. In addition, this position provides the opportunity to actively participate in ongoing departmental activities such as research, advising, and service according to candidate interest.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

An earned Master’s degree is required (Ph.D. desired) in Anatomy, Physiology, or related discipline prior to appointment date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, Pell-eligible, and diverse populations.
