Job Description
The City of Raleigh is seeking part-time Recreation Educators to facilitate programmatic experiences on recreational topics including Kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Orienteering, Fishing, and more. Successful candidates will work with the public while incorporating outdoor ethical practices through programmatic opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate must be at least 18 years of age, able to lift at least 50 pounds, and able to communicate instructions to participants in a clear, understandable manner. Candidates must be comfortable working with the public in an outdoor setting.

- Work as a team member promoting a shared vision and positive workplace culture
- Work in an outdoor environment, including various weather conditions
- Demonstrate proper techniques for various Outdoor Recreational activities
- Teach to skills and concepts to individuals with varying comfort levels and previous experience.
- Gain familiarity with City of Raleigh parks, facilities, and programs
