Instructional Facilitator for Music and Movement - Blue Hole

Primary Purpose:Serve as the Facilitator for Music and Movement. You will be responsible for preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. The position will also prepare lesson plans and instruction.Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma or GEDValid Texas educational aide certificate Special Knowledge/Skills:Ability to work well with childrenAbility to communicate effectivelyHave a general understanding of music theory Experience:Some experience working with childrenSome background with music (i.e.: high school band, choir, music training, etc.) Major Responsibilities and Duties:Instructional SupportPrepare instructional materials and classroom displays.Prepare administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.Maintain neat and orderly classroom.Maintain inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.Maintain administrative records and prepare required reports.Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.Student ManagementConduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.Supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom.

This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.Coordinate special needs or problems of individual students.OtherParticipate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:None.Equipment Used:Copier, personal computer, and audiovisual equipment.Working Conditions:Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain emotional control under stress.
