L&D Manager - Academies
What do I need this person to do?
Scope solutions/approach for academy-based learning experiences in partnership with SMEs
Interface with SMEs from experts up to leadership to gather information used to build employee-ready content - influence, interviewing, research and investigation skills are incredibly helpful here
Wireframe concepts in Degreed (LXP)
Design and build assets to be plugged into the wireframe including, but not limited to, video, PDF documents, PowerPoint slides, courseware, external content.
Curate and build pathways and plans in the LXP that address building capability in needed skills, leveraging internal our client content, externally sourced supporting content, assets from premium content subscriptions, and our client experts
Solicit input, feedback and edits from L&D, Comms, Legal stakeholders as well as SMEs

Instructional design (senior level)
Stakeholder management
Can work in ambiguous conditions
Design thinking and/or brain-centric design
Communications (writing copy aligned to brand guidelines)
Ability to effectively curate and build experiences in an LXP
High-level project management (can construct a workback plan with critical activities and milestones)
Draft Process (Academies)
Scope the design
o Assess the need (i.e. is this a key capability that would require an academy or is it something that would be better served with another solution)
o Identify desired outcomes and learning objectives
o Land the approach
o Identify SMEs
o Confirm work-back plan including milestones, approvals, and check-ins
High-level prototype for concept approval
o Verify that it meets the needs identified in scoping process
o Ensure alignment with portfolio

Research/Gathering
