Summary
Performs intermediate professional work working with Teachers, itinerant staff, Speech and language clinicians, ECSE staff, work experience teachers, and social workers (Special Education) to establish and support their Professional Growth Plan and Student Learning Goals, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Director of Teaching and Learning.
Essential Functions
Observe and coach teachers in the implementation of effective best practices.
Support teachers in Professional Learning Communities as they analyze data, determine instructional programming and provide curriculum support.
Plan, analyze and deliver professional development for teachers and coaches.
Analyze student data with coaches, teachers and stakeholders.
Attend professional development activities to improve coaching skills; stay current with trends of content areas and coaching.
Attend meetings to provide input regarding programming, coaching and PLC involvement.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with coursework in Special Education Education, or related field and considerable experience in a classroom setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
