The Instructional Assistant - Hall Monitor - will monitor hallway traffic and assist students in reaching their classroom destinations in the appropriate time allowed and be observant of possible problems or congestion in the school hallways and will report any significant problems to the building office. This position may also require the candidate to assist classroom teachers in working with small groups or individual students in the reinforcement of instruction; development of learning materials to be utilized within the classroom; the supervision of cafeteria, hallways and other duties. The candidate must have a basic understanding of child growth and development.
An Act 34 Criminal History Clearance Report, an Act 151 Child Abuse History Clearance Report, and a FBI Fingerprint Clearance Report are necessary, along with all other required employment forms
An Associate's Degree or 48 college credits are required. Lifeguard certification is preferred but not required.
The salary is in accordance with the classified negotiated contract.
