About This Role
As a Solar Installer, you will be part of a team to install a residential rooftop solar system. Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: installing rooftop solar systems, ensuring the vehicle(s) are clear of personal items or trash, maintenance of solar systems when necessary.
Overall Responsibilities
- Work with a team to install the racking system and solar panels on residential roofs
- Assemble solar panels, arrays, and any supporting structures required
- Complete any required repairs in compliance with local, state, and OSHA standards
- Service the solar system as needed
- Contribute a high quality of installation
- Clean and prepare trucks at the end of the day to ensure that the vehicle is ready for the next day's use
- Occasional work in the warehouse organizing equipment
- Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and company standards
- Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of construction experience, solar experience preferred
- Ability to work well with others that are on your team
- Comfortable being and working on roofs
- Capability to lift and move up to 40 to 50 lbs
- This is a driving required position and you must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record for insurability
- Minimum 25% travel required
