Job Description
The Installation Manger’s role at IMS Technology Services, Inc. is to manage the day-to-day activities of the Installation team. The incumbent will work in the field managing a team of installers, providing support and training as necessary. They will be held accountable for coordinating and collaborating with all IMS professionals to ensure communication, quality designs, and management of each project adheres to IMS standard and brand.

Position Accountabilities and Expectations:
· Manage labor resources for all tasks by creating and assigning responsibilities to the installation team pre-determined by project timelines and client expectations throughout the year. Schedules will be coordinated and communicated with regular cadence to ensure accuracy and effectiveness. All schedulable resources will be managed to a utilization rate of 75% or higher.
· Manage the performance, development and accountability of field crews so to meet optimum customer satisfaction and installation profitability, in accordance with defined standards (i.e., IMS Labor Standard Estimate).
· Demonstrate a strong active presence in the field through coaching efforts, train through challenging objectives and inspect work performed.
· Accountable for on time delivery of all installation projects and adhere to pre-determined schedules, work plans, estimated labor costs, and person-hours. Identify variances for each project, look for opportunities for improvement if necessary and communicate all unexpected changes back to the project team for consideration.
· Manage the escalation of project issues or concerns, when appropriate, to Operations, Sales, Project Management and Engineering for discussion and review.
· Ensure that work rules, regulations, standards, and safety practices are clear, understood, and enforced among all field teams.
· Establish and execute standardized field procedures ensure adherence to these procedures and processes. Field paperwork and administrative activities must be fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner,
· In conjunction with the Director of Operations recruit, select, hire, continually coach, train, and develop essential personnel for the team.
· Maintain a measurable estimation tool to manage forecasts, monitor team performance through KPI’s, and provide appropriate data and reports to support the tasks performed.
· Manage the safety and quality of in-house rack construction, wiring, termination and testing prior to completion and delivery to site in order to ensure proper quality control.
· Oversee the maintenance, control, and distribution of tools necessary for the installation teams to perform their field duties.
· Actively participate in the schedule management and assignment of installation resources to projects ensuring the appropriate staffing and skills are accounted for.
· Perform site surveys as needed in preparation for system installations.
· Actively participate in engineering reviews for projects as needed.
· Miscellaneous activities and project focused requirements assigned by leadership.
What you will bring:
· A minimum of 6+ years’ Commercial Audio-Visual installation experience, including low-voltage experience
· CTS, CTS-I certifications required
· Expert knowledge of National Electrical Code
· Thorough knowledge and understanding of Physical Wiring & Installation of Display Systems, Switching, Scaling, Audio Processing, Video Transmission, Control, VTC, and DSP products
· Experience in managing all aspects of AV installation projects and their installation, including reading, understanding, and explaining CAD functional, riser, and architectural drawings
· Thorough knowledge of Crestron, BiAmp, AMX, and/or ClearOne products and software
· Demonstrated ability to organize and direct the activities of multiple functions related to the employment of a large staff with fluctuating schedules and skillsets
· Demonstrated ability to select, train, develop, and coach a highly effective team of field supervisors, and field personnel
· Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with a wide range of people at varying levels both within and outside the company
· Requires expanded and in-depth knowledge of systems integration disciplines
· Expert problem-solving abilities
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically when handling difficult or sensitive information
· Expert organizational skills and attention to detail
· Must be able to work nights and weekends as necessary
· Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
