JOB OVERVIEW Green City Growers, or GCG, is growing and is looking to hire an Installation Manager for its operations team. This is a full-time year-round position. This is a perfect position for someone who is hard working and enjoys physical labor and wants to be involved in the planning and strategic part of our growth. This position is great for someone who is motivated by something larger than themselves, someone who loves the outdoors, a self-starter with the ability to see your work through with a high degree of independence. RESPONSIBILITIES Project Management: In conjunction with other departments, set installations & work order schedules. Make priorities based on company, departmental and various facilities requirements. Generate, update and manage related documents & SOPs. Collaborate and communicate across all departments to ensure the operations department is efficiently and effectively supporting business in a timely manner with a high standard. Manage other projects and assignments as needed. Training & Management: Assist in the hiring, training and management of all operations department employees. Conduct and assist in training all crew members in builds, repairs and maintenance. Conduct and assist in training and team building activities. Supervise crew in shop and on-site.! Delegate to the operations team and work across departments to support company needs. Conduct safety training and maintain written documentation. Financial: Support & maintain costing pricing. Support budgeting. Provide monthly inventory. Purchasing & Vendor Management: Maintain necessary on-hand inventory for all GCG products and builds. Provide Controller with financial records of purchasing, costing and sourcing of materials. Vet, price, budget, contract & manage outside vendors contractors. Meetings: Facilitate installs scheduling meetings, take & distribute notes. Attend, participate in, and facilitate meetings as assigned. Report all questions, concerns, and pertinent information to related persons/departments. Provide customer and participant feedback as needed for internal continual improvement processes. Facilities & Shop: Maintain cleanliness and working order of workshop, office, greenhouse, grow room and all facilities. Schedule and execute all in-house repairs, manage cleaning service, manage pest control service and facilities improvements. Support product development, design and prototyping. Implement and maintain organizational systems for materials and tool storage and builds preparations. Fleet & Equipment : Oversee regular vehicle inspections, repairs & maintenance (R&M) of all GCG vehicles, tools and equipment. Manage EZPass, insurance and vehicle registrations. Utilize Fleetio for keeping records of all vehicle maintenance. Communications: Report all questions, concerns, and pertinent information to the relative department and person. Provide customer and participant feedback as needed for customer success. Ideal Qualifications and Skills: • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team • Proven experience in project management and process improvement • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation/maintenance, landscaping, carpentry, metalwork • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities • Detail oriented, strong time management, organizational abilities and record-keeping skills • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment • Familiarity and experience with Google and Microsoft Office Suite • Driver's license, hoisting license preferred or ability to secure one • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends possible).
