Job Description
As the Lead Fire Alarm Technician, you will assist in leading a crew in the overall installation of fire life safety projects. You will be performing the installation of fire alarm devices such as smokes, horn strobes, smoke & heat detectors, and pull stations. As well as running wiring, and performing general construction.
A day on the job:
- Install fire alarm devices and fire alarm panels.
- Update service ticket to track project progress.
- Lead the onsite crew to ensure the successful installation of project components.
- Gather project materials and equipment for installation.
Skill Requirements:
- 3+ years installing fire alarm equipment in a commercial environment
- 3+ years in leadership role
Other Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance
- Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).
We also conduct pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Federal Contractor regulations and background checks in accordance with State and local regulations.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily.
- Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.
- Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and multi-tenant properties.
- Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionally
- Move/Transport/Install/Remove items weighing 50+ pounds, daily
- Pushing/Pulling using upper extremities, daily
- Position self to work in confined spaces, occasionally
The base hourly range for this full-time position is $25.00 - 30.00 plus benefits. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all California locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
