Four-Day Work Week (Monday to Thursday) 34-hour Full Time Position
Energy Inspector - GLCAP Fremont HQ - 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Summary: Manage projects and perform initial/in-progress/final inspections of homes in accordance with all eligible funding source requirements ensuring all leveraging opportunities and services are maximized and achieved in each home.

Education:
Required High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and the ability to obtain Inspector Series Certification from OWTC, Lead EPA RRP Certification, and EA/QCI certification from BPI within six months.
Experience:
Three to five years’ experience in weatherization or construction.

- Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
- Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
- Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform initial inspections specifying all required corrective actions in accordance with program(s) guidance while ensuring all leveraged opportunities and services are maximized.
- Educate clients about the program(s), processes, and work that will be performed.
- Perform final inspections on completed work and confirm all initial corrective actions were addressed and installed properly with an acceptable level of quality in accordance with all program requirements.
- Manage assigned projects; prepare and review work orders, change orders, collection forms, cost estimates, invoicing and NEAT audits; monitor costs, and report variances.
- Provide training and technical assistance to staff and sub-contractors in all areas including safety.
