JOB PURPOSE
The Inspector in plating evaluates products at various stages in the production process to ensure, through visual inspection and/or product testing, product requirements are met. The inspector sifts products to remove debris and defective parts.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Read and follow Work Instructions for each product assigned.
- Assure product quality through visual inspection of products for defects as identified on Work Instructions and report any defects immediately.
- Load and sift products to remove debris and defective parts.
- Inspect and verify visual product requirement conformance of parts.
- Weigh and count product and transfer to appropriate inventory location
- Conduct product dimensional tests
- Maintain completed product inventory.
- Complete in-process documentation and records according to GDP (shop orders, process log, MRB, etc.)
- Learn and understand our Quality Policy, Statement and Objectives and maintain a basic understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 13485
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including training and proper use of PPE.
- Recommend improvements to safety, housekeeping, product, or process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.
- Ability to understand verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills to input daily information.
