The primary role of the Insights Analyst is to support the Insights & Analytics team by providing the data and information needed to develop insights, reports, and recommendations that result in client growth. This involves developing and sharing insights on consumer attitudes and behaviors from various sources such as qualitative and quantitative research, marketing data, and sales figures, to inform strategies against our client’s key business objectives. As this individual works alongside other team members across the company and the Insights & Analytics Department, they will ultimately report to the Director of Insights & Analytics

Team Schedule
In general, Sales Factory working hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. At the Sales Factory, overall, we operate in a hybrid work environment where the majority of the team reports to the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays and works remotely Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This position will report to our Raleigh, NC office.

At Sales Factory, an effective and successful Insights Analyst is expected to:
- Develop command of all software regularly utilized by Insights and Analytics
- Conduct any required secondary research
- Assist in the design and development of proprietary research instruments
- Program and test surveys before deployment
- Oversee data collection and vendor management
- Clean and weight data when required
- Prepare data books, including appropriate data cuts
- Participate in insight development and distribution
- Manage key client and departmental assets (photos, secondary and syndicated research)
- Organize and manage client data files
- Support the account teams with additional data analysis as required
- Establish credibility and solid working relationships throughout Sales Factory
- Understand each assigned client’s business thoroughly including internal structure, business challenges, competitive activity, and external influences
- Stay abreast of the shifting opportunities presented in the omni-channel retail environment, as well as changes in market research best practices.
Requirements:
- College degree in a related field of study (Statistics, Marketing, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or other social sciences/quantitative focused degrees) or a college degree and 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field
- Be a self-starter, work proficiently with limited supervision
- Ability to take direction and translate it into appropriate data analysis and reports
- The ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and pattern- recognition skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Solid communication skills (written and verbal)
- The ability to collaborate and work in a collaborative environment
- Proficiency in Google Suite & Microsoft 360
- A working knowledge of SPSS and/or JMP
- Other software skills that are valued but not required: Tableau, PowerBI, Looker Studio, R, Python, other business analytics and/or research tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Certifications & Training Courses will be required upon hire at the expense of the company.
