This individual will assist in staffing the retail area of the operation, answering telephones, and assisting customers with their orders (phone and counter sales) and assisting with warehouse/yard duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Staffing the front counter and assisting customers who walk in and over the phone
• Loading and Unloading Product, Whether by Hand or use of a Forklift
• Yard and Warehouse Maintenance
• Receiving, Stocking and Counting Product
• Performing other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
• Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of team E.J.P., vendors and customers by:
• Communicating openly, honestly, and constructively while assisting customers in person and over the phone
• Treating all employees, vendors and customers with dignity, respect, and courtesy
• Taking responsibility and making effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems
• Asking for information needed to perform job responsibilities, asking others for help and assisting others
• Generating sales within our established Contractors and Municipalities
• Responding to requests from customers for product information
• Remaining knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in our customers and competition

POSITION COMPETENCIES / JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be reliable and punctual
• Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral
• Physical requirements include frequent lifting of up to 70 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling is also required
• Must pass a criminal and background check, and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must have experience with POS and CRM systems (technical ability)
• Strong attention to details
• Takes initiative and is self-motivated
• Responsive and follows tasks through to completion
• Team player and collaborator; must work well with others

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High School / vocational diploma or equivalent, Customer Service / Inside Sales work experience preferred. Prior experience at a fast paced, deadline driven environment preferred.
