Position: Inside Sales Representative
Position Overview: Inside Sales Representatives focus on customer support and technical product promotion while collaborating with outside sales and operations to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide options and solutions for walk-in and call-in customers. Ask questions, listen to the customer, know their challenges, provide technical expertise and realistic outcomes, recommend product selection, provide product pricing, and determine whether to get an outside salesperson involved depending on the size of a project, size of the customer or complexity of the solution. Stay informed of new products, customer, vendor and supply chain issues. Keep open lines of communication with sales team, coworkers and branch manager.
- Assist in evaluating alternatives to come up with the best valued solution by working with pricing structures.
- Close sale with customer. Process orders in coordination with Operations.
- Determine time frame for delivery/arrival of material, etc. Keep in contact with the customer on delivery times.
- Complete and email quotes to customers when needed.
- Compile & send submittal packages and Certification requests.
- Work within CRM system to update customer and business account information.
- Monitor sales trends with specific customers and communicate with salesperson.
Inventory Management
- Track inventory usage and monitor stock levels. Work with sales people to determine long-term needs, adjusting inventory levels accordingly.
- Order material and arrange delivery for "just in time" inventory management.
- Assist with product deliveries, taking physical inventories, unloading/loading trucks, and general housekeeping, as needed.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be self-motivated, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
