BVS has an immediate opening for a full-time Inside Sales Representative in the Harrisonburg, Virginia location. This position will work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, and will assists customers in their operation with the goal of maximizing their operational output by providing products, services, and solutions to meet their needs. Also serves as a subject matter expert for BVS products and water solutions using knowledge to assist customers with any questions and technical needs they have for the product. This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with internal and external customers and works to establish a positive rapport with others.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all interactions with customers, leads, and other stakeholders are professional, ethical, and embody BVS core values.
- Stays current on knowledge of industry products uses and proper administration of those products.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers by engaging with them throughout the sales cycle and providing after-sales support and keeping regular contact with to ensure products and service are at of the highest quality and resolving any complaints in a timely manner.
- Represent all regulated animal products as labeled. Off label recommendations are restricted to Veterinarians with valid PCR.
- Track leads, log calls/activities, move sales cycle, and report/forecast
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. Up-sell and sell additional products/services to customers.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management on company goals, vision, and reflection of new or lost sales.
- Make follow-up calls to ensure that customers are satisfied with their purchase or when accounts are past due.
- Communicates with Sales, Warehousing, and Transportation departments to ensure correct products are scheduled to be delivered in a timely manner.
- Works closely with other Sales Representatives to determine and set appropriate pricing levels for customers in the system.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
What’s needed?
- Ability to regularly travel up to 15-20% Hybrid remote around the Harrisonburg, VA area.
- For example: on-site customer meetings, regional industry events, etc.
- Proficient to advanced computer and relevant application skills required.
- Microsoft programs, sales ordering systems, etc.
- Advanced communication skills for internal collaboration and external sales
- Ability to “bridge” multiple departments for customer success, including purchasing, transfers, and transportation.
- Multi-tasking is a common responsibility.
- Attention to Detail.
- For products (varying sizes) and prices across multiple customer levels
- Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism when interacting with customers, team members, and vendors.

Education and Experience:
- Poultry and/or agricultural background required.
- Essential for industry and product understanding; ability to connect with customers.
- Associate degree required; bachelor degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
