Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Department: NA Sales

Reports To: Director, NA Inside Sales

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Nashville, TN (hybrid in office work required)

Our newly established Inside Sales Team is involved with selling directly to the end consumer/business purchaser through remote interactions with customers:

Job Responsibilities:

  • New sales to new customers as well as cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers including Dealers, SVP retail locations, mass customers, and consumers

  • Work with Director of Inside Sales to execute the telesales strategy, drive growth an improve after market sales

  • Establish target and prospect accounts through researching accounts, identifying key players, and generating interest

  • Generate leads via outbound calling and email

  • Engaging inquiries from potential customers on a multi-channel basis- phone, email, chat, and SMS

  • Anticipating/assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions

  • Drive incremental sales of machines, e commerce, mySewnet/digital products, Sewing & Home Essentials (accessories, notions and consumables)

  • Develop new account leads for sewing and crafting

  • Developing and delivering sales bids, proposals, and presentations and conducting product demonstrations

  • Consistently achieve established quotas to ensure revenue and growth objectives

  • Provides pricing and delivery information

  • Work with cross functional partners within Order Management to ensure inventory is maintained; follow-up to customers on timely shipment of material; customer satisfaction; resolution of customer service issues; tracking of open sales orders

  • Maintains strong working relationships with supply chain partners, operations, sales leadership, regional sales managers, area managers, store managers, mass sales managers, and e commerce leadership

  • Collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to develop email marketing campaigns and sales promotions to target customer base

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies for maximum effectiveness

  • Utilize CRM systems including Salesforce to log activity and make informed decisions to optimize sales processes

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, sales technologies, and emerging trends to introduce innovative strategies that give the company a competitive edge

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, may consider relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • 3+ year of experience in Sales or Business Development

  • Minimum 1 year of Telesales experience

  • Customer-facing experience and strong problem-solving skills

  • Track record of success in a performance and metrics-driven role

  • Experience with communication via email, messenger, text, and phone

  • Ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies

  • Demonstrated negotiation, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities

  • Proven capacity to be self-motivated and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Positive, customer-centric approach with the potential to build and maintain long-lasting client relationships

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Adaptable and willing to embrace change with technology and processes

You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

  • Communicate effectively with customers through multiple forms of technology, including telephone and computer. Must be able to receive and convey information

  • Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
