Position Title: Inside Sales Manager
Department: Inside Sales
Position Purpose:
To provide overall direction and management to the Inside Sales team (Foodservice Specialists). Work directly with the Inside Sales team and related departments to promote company goals and provide a high level of customer support through information sharing and problem-solving.

Supervisory Duties:
- Oversees employees' performance to ensure departmental duties and goals are executed timely, provide guidance, support, and identify development needs.
- Collaborate with Human Resources regarding any personnel issues.
- Review timecards to ensure employee's time is accurately recorded and complete. Approves time off requests and manages staffing needs such as scheduling coverage.
- Coach and train employees for performance improvement and development.
- Distribute and delegate labor tasks according to individual staffing strengths.
- Supervises the activities of all the inside sales staff and manages the departmental staffing needs by recruiting, hiring, training new staff, and retaining skilled staff.
- Work closely with the leadership team on management strategies to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization.
Functions or Duties:
- Build an open communication environment between the team, vendors, customers, and other departments.
- Collaborate with other departments, including but not limited to: Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Transportation, Marketing, Pricing, and Outside Sales, to ensure customer needs are being met and communicated.
- Analysis, implementation, and provide guidance to the team in route changes and holiday scheduling.
- Manage and track the customer quoting process.
- Supervise the return process.
- Create and track departmental metrics to help the team achieve quantifiable goals.
- Work with the team to support marketing initiatives with customers.
- Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool to provide insight into customer activity; create and enforce best practices with the team.
- Analyze reporting and regularly share findings with the management team and staff to maximize efficiency and open communication.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Math skills and familiarity with margins.
- Familiarity using a CRM software program (such as Salesfore.com) is desirable.
- High-level organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Autoquotes desirable.
- Ability to keep a team focused and calm under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- College degree desirable, but not required.
- High School Diploma required.
- Three years background in Customer Service, Foodservice Distribution, or equivalent experience, preferred not required.
- Three years background in management, required.

While performing the duties, this position is frequently required to sit; look at computer screen; use hands to finger. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Some lifting up to 30 lbs, is required.
The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality.
