The Inside Sales Manager reports to the Director, Sales and is responsible for managing the Inside Sales group, including the hiring and performance management of the Inside Sales Representatives. This position requires strong interpersonal, oral communication and presentation skills for effective communication both in person, over the phone and via virtual team meeting platforms. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor always while representing the company and to provide quality customer service. Familiarity with the industrial and/or manufacturing industry and knowledge of the technical and product terminology and pricing related to the company's steel products. Proficiency in operating the software necessary to perform the duties of this position, such as Microsoft Windows and Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as various other business software specific to CSRM. Must possess strong integrity and support the company's Compliance Standards as well as support the Company's Anticorruption Program through compliance with the Anticorruption Manual and Anticorruption Controls. Prior experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP)/material requirements planning (MRP) and ability to effectively manage/lead assigned projects, including creating long- and short-term plans, setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. Must possess strong critical thinking skills, project management skills, and the ability to proactively solve problems or address the questions and concerns of the customer. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Continually
- Manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives and plan and implement operational & sales strategies for the team.
- Determine order requirements from customer or history and then applies to the appropriate production window. Communicates requirements to the mill and ensures correct distribution.
- Act as liaison between sales and operations team.
- Work with other departmental management to facilitate relationships among members of the various departments and locations in order to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels and inventory for all locations.
- Participate in various Continuous Improvement activities and contribute in Continuous Improvement team meetings
- Coordinate I.T. systems development and upgrades with on site, corporate and contracted I.T groups.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Responsible for anticorruption compliance as set forth in the Anticorruption Manual. Specific anticorruption accountabilities include:
- Supporting Radius Recycling sales personnel and the administration of international sales contracts in accordance with the Anticorruption Manual.
- Communicating upwards any suspected or actual violations of the Anticorruption Manual.
- Frequently
- Monitor and review NQA requirements. Ensure up to date training is provided to Inside Sales staff as policies are developed.
- Review pricing and tracks increases. Update and distribute pricing lists.
- Back-up preparation of various correspondence related to the sales process and maintain associated files.
- Occasionally
- Provide back-up to answer incoming customer phone calls and emails.
- Provide back-up to schedule orders with appropriate transportation source and monitors progress.
- Provide back-up to evaluate invoicing and shipping discrepancies and takes the appropriate action to rectify.
- Travel and attend customer entertainment functions outside of standard workday hours.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position supervises the Inside Sales Representatives and Senior Inside Sales Representatives. This position may represent the Director, Sales in their absence.

Performance Standards:
This position requires climbing while ascending or descending stairs daily. Stooping, kneeling and crouching when needing to access office files, papers, etc. Standing and walking primarily within office building, but occasionally outside or within manufacturing plant. Reaching to retrieve office supplies, equipment or files/paperwork. Pushing, pulling and lifting to move items within the office environment. Grasping to move papers, files and office supplies or to write. Repetitive motions of the hands, wrists and fingers to perform office duties such as keyboarding, 10-key, telephone dialing, filing of documentation or operations of copier/fax machine. Position is an office job and duties are primarily performed while sitting at a desk or modes of transportation (car, bus, rail, and airplane). Talking in person by telephone to explain procedures, gather information, give directions. Ability to communicate with individuals of varying English speaking/understanding ability. Ability to communicate in either an office environment or on occasion, in a loud mill environment. Hearing to listen, in person and over the phone, and to understand. Vision to read and view computer monitor, data and figures and text.
Job Conditions:
Exposure to physical operations ranging from office environments to manufacturing areas. On occasions may need to enter the mill, where they will be exposed to outdoor and or plant conditions. PPE is required and provided when this is the case.
Work is primarily performed in a variety of settings including office environment, outside plant environment, and customer premises. It may occasionally require the ability to exert force or to push/pull up to 20 pounds, and/or to lift/carry up to 10 pounds.
Qualifications:
AA degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent experience in related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
5+ years of either inside or outside sales experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experienced MRP/ERP experience very valuable)
