As an Inside Customer Service Representative (ICAR), you'll be the cornerstone of our customer interactions, serving as the first impression of The Marwin Company to our valued customers, vendors, and future prospects.
Job Description:
As an Inside Customer Account Representative, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Your integrity and professionalism will shine through as you assist customers with placing orders, providing product knowledge, and communicating realistic production timelines. With a broad understanding of our organization's products and services, you'll expertly apply marketing and sales techniques to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Job Functions:
- Provide best in class, customer service to internal and external customers across your assigned territory by being the first point of contact for their day-to-day needs.
- Manage Customer Accounts and generate additional sales growth for each account.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by working with an experienced sales team.
- Entering customer’s orders into our sales order system in a timely fashion.
- Continuous learning regarding products and components.
- Maintain all Price Pages Regional w/map (100 Mile Radius), and updating in Ponderosa
- Research options for item pricing, pricing levels, quantity prices, price class
- Manage daily process flow: paper, pick tickets, shipping tickets, pink tickets
- Collaborate with shipping and other key departments to understand set or adjusted lead times
- Assist with special projects
- Adhere to Sales Department budget.
- Integrate Company’s Vision in daily work operations
- High level of responsibility regarding use of company resources.
- Use of excellent ethical business practices and good judgment in dealings.
- Promote positive teamwork in dealings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/ GED or 2 years of related experience.
- 2-4 years of previous customer service experience in building materials.
- Experience with purchase order systems, Ponderosa is a PLUS.
- Must have the ability to work independently with limited direction while managing competing deadlines & multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Skills/Abilities:
- Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Positive, organized and enthusiastic with ability to influence others.
- Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic, self-starter good attendance and good collaborator.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills and effective listener.
- Ability to support, communicate and enforce The Marwin Company’s Vision, Mission and policies.
