Inpatient Pharmacy Technician In Chicago, Illinois

RPh on the Go, a leader in providing exceptional pharmacy staffing services, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about making a difference in patient care through meticulous preparation and handling of sterile compounding medications.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications in a sterile environment, including weighing, mixing, counting, labeling, and recording dosage.
• Maintain the pharmacys sterile compounding area, ensuring a clean and safe environment in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of the cleanroom and equipment to maintain compliance with USP 797 and 800 standards.
• Prepare crash carts.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies effectively.
• Work closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure accurate and timely preparation and dispensing of medication.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.

Shift:

• Second shift: 2:30pm 11:00pm.
• Weekend coverage and overnight fill in needs may also be needed.

Qualifications:

• Inpatient hospital experience
• Sterile compounding experience preferred.
• Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
• PTCB certification.
