Position Summary

The Inpatient EEG Coordinator reports to the Manager of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department. The Inpatient EEG Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily 24-hour inpatient EEG operation and supervising EEG staff. This role maintains our lab accreditations for Long Term EEG Monitoring-The Critical Care EEG Monitoring Program and Long Term EEG Monitoring-The Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Program. This position works with the Neurosurgeons and oversees epilepsy surgery cases which includes programming EEGs for recording of intracranial electrodes; providing intraoperative EEG monitoring; and following these patients EEGs to completion.

Position Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of almost 40 direct reports
• Prepare monthly/yearly budgets
• Quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain ABRET lab accreditations and support Level IV Epilepsy Center accreditation
• Oversee epilepsy surgery cases which includes programming EEGs for recording of intracranial electrodes
• Other duties assigned

Position Summary

• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program of Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology or the equivalent and registered as an EEG Technician by ABRET required and must be maintained.
• Three years of EEG Technician work experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA-recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Providers.

Salary

• $58k- $99k (Depending on experience)
