Job Description
A leading manufacturer of gaskets, industrial seals, and compression-molded plastics is looking for a Machine Operator (Injection Molder) responsible for assisting in the creation of its products. The ideal candidate is a certified forklift operator with molding and operating machinery expertise. Reporting to the Plastics Division Manager, the new team member will improve operational efficiency by effectively performing tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Salary: $14-15/hr
Location: Tomball, TX 77375
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Read router to determine set up necessary for operation.
- Perform all molding operations per company’s QMS.
- Locate, clean, and set up molds.
- Locate and weigh out material using a scale and tape measure.
- Load mold and press to pressure listed and dwell time listed monitoring hydraulic gauges.
- Trim excess material from parts.
- Ensure that billets are in excellent condition after they are molded and transport billets to the appropriate location after the molding process is complete. If a billet does not meet Eagle’s QMS standards, document and move to the NCM shelf.
- Reheat and pin molded cylinder when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure that all safety procedures are being followed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Forklift Operator Certification required
- 1 year of experience molding and operating machinery preferred
- Ability to deal with failure
- Understanding of various textures and how it affects operating process
- Ability to focus
- Troubleshooter
- Awareness
