What you'll do:
- Will lead the development and execution of project plans to identify and design infrastructure component solutions to meet business requirements.
- Will design and lead the installation of infrastructure as needed to ensure requirements are met in accordance with project plans.
- Will research and recommend component technology changes and new technology uses targeted at optimizing value from FBL infrastructure investments in support of business processing, application systems integration, end user productivity, and information protection requirements.
- Will be accountable for assigned production systems and troubleshooting complex problems to ensure timely resolution.
- Will drive and lead efforts to evaluate, select, recommend, purchase, configure and install changed Infrastructure solutions.
What it takes to join our team:
- College Degree (MIS or computer science) or equivalent plus eight years relevant experience required. Lead Technical Administrator experience preferred.
- Must have in-depth skills supporting two or more of the following key enterprise infrastructure technology areas: VMWare, Pure Storage, Rubrik backup systems, HP Synergy blade servers, Cisco San Fabric, Windows Enterprise Servers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, logical information organization skills.
- Must have customer experience orientation, impact and influence, industry awareness, initiative, integrity, and relationship management.
- Must understand the inter-relationship between business and technological needs.
- Ability to conceptualize potential, new, or changed infrastructure solution designs to satisfy changing business requirements. Must have or attain a strong understanding of all entities of the FBL Financial Group.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Maintain knowledge and skills current in alignment with industry technology developments.
- On-call responsibility to support infrastructure 24/7.
- Strong oral and writing communication skills.
- Some travel required.
