The City of Topeka’s Water Pollution Control division is seeking a dynamic and confident manager to lead their Inspection and Verification unit. This role requires an individual who thrives on collaboration and is passionate about leveraging technology and innovation to enhance current inspection processes. As the division integrates acoustic pipe inspection into its wastewater maintenance program, they are seeking a forward-thinking individual who views this as an opportunity to drive positive change and improvement within the unit.
What you'll do:
- Manage frontline staff and equipment assigned to inspect and verify the condition of Water Pollution Control’s storm and wastewater infrastructure.
- Prioritize inspection requests and annual inspection work.
- Review inspection data collected in-house and by contractors.
- Accept or reject new construction based on workmanship and condition.
- Collaborate with fellow managers to support the daily operations of the division and ensure daily operational needs are met.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Three years of work-related experience to include a minimum of two years of direct supervisory experience.
- Must possess and maintain a Class IV Collections System Operator certification or obtain within three years.
- Must possess and maintain NASSCO PACP, MACP AND LACP certification or obtain within first year.
- Must be insurable within the standards set by the City of Topeka’s insurance carrier and possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license.

Annual entry salary: $70,251 - $84,301, depending on qualifications
