We hire college students because we believe in fresh ideas. These are not paper pushing, copy making internships. We provide real work experience to our Interns. During the Program you will interact with, and get exposure to, multiple departments and leaders throughout the Credit Union. We are seeking students that are interested in an Information Technology internship for Summer 2024. This year, the IT internship will focus on assisting the Tech team with imaging/operating system installation of desktop and laptop computers; auditing existing active inventory for accuracy; assisting with the organization and maintenance of computer equipment not in circulation; and distribution of IT equipment to end users as part of computer refresh and/or malfunctioning equipment replacement.
Requirements for the Information Technology Internship:
- Currently attending an accredited college or university
- Rising juniors and seniors working toward a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related. Rising sophomores may be considered.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Ability to work 32 hours per week for the summer (generally 8:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday) for the duration of the 12-week program (May 28, 2024-August 15, 2024). The schedule will involve being onsite daily at our corporate office in Lake Forest, IL. Local candidates only.
- Familiarity of computer hardware (desktop and laptop), operating systems (Windows 10), mobile phones (iOS and Android), Microsoft Office 365, networking, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and in groups/teams.
- One who is a self-starter, takes initiative, and has an interest in Information Technology.
