Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our technology department and ensure the efficient and secure operation of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT management, with a focus on implementing and maintaining Sage 300 software. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's technology infrastructure, managing IT projects, and providing strategic guidance to enhance our overall IT capabilities.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
- Create rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available.
- Construct and implement plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem.
- Stay up to date with new network technology and report this information to the executive team each quarter.
- Work closely with other department managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, internet support, intranet, LANs, WANs, databases and network segments.
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
- Oversee the IT helpdesk to provide timely support and resolution to end-user issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and address technology needs across the organization.
- Support and administer remote locations and employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in IT management, with a focus on Sage 300 implementation and support.
- In-depth knowledge of Sage 300 modules, configurations, and customization options.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Sage 300 or related technologies.
- Experience in cloud computing and migration strategies.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends.
