Position Summary Information
Qualifications Required
Required: Master's degree in Information Technology or related field, subfield (Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security and Instructional Technology) with certifications in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and two years of relevant work experience. Earned certification(s) in one or more of the following: CISCO/Networking, (Examples might include: CISCO Academy training, CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Specialist, or similar).
Established good writing and communication skills. Must be flexible with teaching schedule for day or evening courses, throughout a two-semester academic year, teaching assignment will be on the Grand Island Campus. Must be able to work independently and be willing to build relationships with community organizations and members. Position requires great leadership skills with a passion to provide a quality learning environment for all students. Individual will need to be a self-starter and take initiative to grow the Information Technology & Systems Program.
General Summary
Seeking one full-time instructor to teach Information Technology & systems courses in networking specializations on the Grand Island, NE Campus. The successful candidate can live in Grand Island or the surrounding area and will have the opportunity to teach and build program enrollment at Central Community College's learning center on Grand Island, NE Campus. Courses will be delivered through various methods including face-to-face and distance learning. Program support activities, student advising, curriculum design, promotion & recruiting, participation with various faculty from all campuses/centers and committee participation will be required.
This position will start in a full-time contract as of January 1st, 2024.
