Job Highlights:
Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)/Developer participates in team environments via structured development lifecycles: analyze and define local and/or enterprise information system requirements, perform system/application design, develop capability prototypes, develop and implement operational Information Systems, and conduct unit and integration testing of application modules. Work as a member of a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary Agile team to design, develop, and test software solutions for a complex system responsible for the collecting, analyzing, and distributing of GEOINT data to over a thousand analysts making millions of daily requests.
The candidate for this role must be highly analytical and able to effectively troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues. Aside from technical skills, prospective candidates should have excellent communication skills, teamwork, leadership, and conflict management skills. Given the constant developing nature of Information Systems and cyber attacks, the ISSO must be committed to continuous learning and system development.
Clearance:
Active Top Secret clearance with an ability to obtain SCI access and willingness to obtain CI Polygraph

As an ISSO/Developer you will...
- Analyze, develop and deploy innovative information/software systems and capabilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for software and Information Systems Security
- Apply available technologies to adapt system/application environments to a variety of subject matter situations
- Respond to technical issues and resolve problems with applications, cloud hosted resources, and systems administration
- Writes and updates documentation and provides information on applications and cloud hosted resources
- Responsible for planning, implementation, quality assurance, configuration, installation, integration, maintenance testing, operational integrity and Systems Security for SAP
- The ISSO participates in team environments via structured development lifecycles: analyze and define local and/or enterprise information system requirements, perform system/application design, develop capability prototypes, develop and implement operational Information Systems, and conduct unit and integration testing of application modules
- Coordinate with team's ISSEs and/or Tech Leads to implement technical solutions during development
- Responsible for leading and performing the activities necessary to maintain the security of systems developed and maintained, as well as the security of information within those systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for certifications and accreditation of SPIDs, assess impacts on system modifications and technological advances to include submitting all changes to the baseline to the ISO and interested parties.
- Evaluate systems for potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to vulnerabilities, implement, and document changes.
- Take ownership of tracking, documentation, process mapping, and duties associated with managing, tracking, and creating patches within DOD/IC environment
- Design, build, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure
- Automate our deployment and testing processes
- Work with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that our systems are reliable and scalable
- Stay up-to-date on the latest DevSecOps trends and technologies
- Design, implement and maintain CICD solutions to support rapid development and automated integration
- Work with software and system engineers to apply automated test and documentation processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issues
- Build, maintain, and monitor configuration management of release products
- Integrate static code analysis and other security mechanisms into pipeline
- Communicate with multidisciplinary teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively
ISSO/Developer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree)
- 10+ years of related experience, to include software development and IT security
- Possess a Security + Certification
- Information security experience
- Software development experience
- Have experience supporting SAP requisitions/operations
- TS/SCI security clearance
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash

- Experience working within various system networks and classification levels
- Advanced degree in a technical discipline
- Experience working on-site at a government customer location
- Experience working in DOD/IC
- Experience with developing and maintaining configuration control documentation
- Experience implementing services to intelligence community standards like ICD 503, NIST Risk Management Framework, and cloud technologies
- Comptia Security + and/or CISSP Certification
- DoD 8570 certification
