Information Security Specialist

You will serve as a INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY OFFICE of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.Qualifications: GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
* Experience safeguarding classified information;
*Experience disposing of classified material to include Top secret and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO);
*Experience utilizing security policy, regulation, procedures for information, personnel and physical security;
* Experience recognizing security violations and function as member of NAVOCEANO Security Team
GS-07: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-05 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
*Experience assisting with safeguarding classified information;
* Experience disposing of classified material to include Top secret and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO);
* Experience recognizing security violations and function as member of NAVOCEANO Security Team

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.Education: In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
FOR GS-09: SUCCESSFUL completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.
FOR GS-07: SUCCESSFUL completion of one full year of graduate level education OR you have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR you have a combination of education and experience that equates to one year of experience.
