Information Security Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated IT Security Analyst to join our company to help support and enhance our security/compliance efforts in support of our Cloud based environments. You will collaborate with and implement complex security solutions, processes, and compliancy tools to monitor, detected, and negate security threats, while maintaining and supporting our compliancy initiatives across our cloud environments and application platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing, managing, and troubleshooting security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and numerous other security toolsets.
• Collaborate to design solutions for security and compliance challenges.
• Assist with periodic audits of various information systems to determine appropriate level of access. Develop and audit existing safeguards and protective measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data.
• Identify and notifies management concerning risk, vulnerabilities and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance.
• Create and maintain documentation of security processes, procedures, and support service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained.
• Assist with identity lifecycle management using existing automation tools while working with business partners to identify specific needs and areas of improvement.
• Collaborate with IT members to help identity and manage security controls with new and upcoming projects to support business initiatives.
• Crafting and refining security-focused content for SIEM, including threat detection algorithms and operational dashboards.
• Conducting thorough assessments of cloud environments to devise robust security strategies adhering to industry best practices.
• Engaging with Managed Detection and Response (MDR) providers to enhance threat detection, analysis, and response capabilities. This includes facilitating seamless communication and information exchange between internal teams and the MDR provider.
• Developing scripts and automation tools in BASH, Perl, Python, or Java, with a proficiency in regular expressions.

Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in IT security and network monitoring.
• Familiarity with security tools, including Cisco, Check Point, PaloAlto, Sentinel, Alien Vault, Umbrella, and others.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for security systems and hardware.
• Knowledge of best practices for IT security and compliance.
• Knowledge and experience in developing and documenting security audits and business process improvement.
• Proactive problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills. Strong communication skills both written and oral.
• Demonstrated confidence in ability to say "I don't know, but I will find out!" with a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with non-technical individuals to assist in the decision process relating to IT Security.
• Define problems, collect data, analyzes available information and evaluates results to choose the best solutions.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks.
