By joining District 2 as an Information Officer II in the District Office, you'll have the opportunity toperform professional journalistic functions in the development, implementation and distribution of informationalprograms and; materials in various formats.

- Researches information requested by the media and write reports of facts sheets on department projects. Writesspeeches.
- Prepares monthly newletter, news releases, and various written information publications. Responds to requestsform the public. Maintains social media sites.
- Attends public events and conducts interviews to obtain material for printed information.
- Proficient in social media platforms
- Familiar with Word Press
- Proficient in writing press releases
- Bachelors degree
- 2 yrs of experience in journalism or public relations
- Experience attending public events and delivering speeches

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Two years of experience in journalism, public relations, or experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this job title series.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Experience in one of the above areas will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):NONE

Probationary Period
