CHI Health Clinic is seeking a quality driven, patient–centered Infectious Disease physician to join our expanding program. This opportunity is well suited for a physician excited to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to better serve the CHI Health patient at CHI Health St. Elizabeth and CHI Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.
This opportunity offers:
- Team of 2 MD's and 2 APP's
- Full spectrum Infectious Disease
- 1/2 days outpatient clinic per week
- Hospital staffed 24/7 with hospitalists
- Work in the regions Burn Center
- Access to an Extensive, Established Primary Care Network of 250+ Providers
- Opportunity for committee participation
- Experienced, Well-Respected, and Growing Infectious Disease physician group
- Academic Appointment with Creighton University School of Medicine if desired
- The physicians in our division have wide interests, including inpatient care, outpatient care, HIV/hepatitis care, STI treatment, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, and public health
- Our division has close working relationships with local and state health departments

Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide clear and concise medical information.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
- Diagnostic Procedures:
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
- Perform procedures as needed
- Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
- Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
- A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
Pay Range
$126.44 - $151.92 /hour
