Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. As a Infant/Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and promoting a love for learning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of preschool-aged children
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child, ensuring their unique needs are met
- Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through regular communication and parent-teacher conferences
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all students
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring materials are readily available for learning activities
- Adhere to all licensing regulations and maintain accurate records as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children on an individual level
- A degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred but not required (CDA Accepted)
Skills:
- Childcare experience
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Babysitting or nannying experience
- Knowledge of childhood development principles
- Familiarity with early childhood education techniques
- Ability to provide infant care if necessary
- Understanding of special education needs in preschool-aged children
