Job Description:
Position: Industry Research Analyst
Reporting To: President's Office
Location: Bentonville, AR

About The Position:
The Analyst will join a dynamic team of professionals and will support all aspects of Whole Health Institute's mission through the gathering and collating of research materials that allow the teams to stay at the forefront of the health care sector. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Analyst will work on projects of high sensitivity to support the Institute and members of the leadership team as we work towards transforming health care to be more accessible and impactful for all. Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in specific topical areas, presenting reviews of literature and other evidence in a clear and actionable format.
  • Produce polished analyses for executive-level audiences addressing highly specialized topics.
  • Identify and analyze trends in the health care sector, allowing Whole Health Institute to position itself at the forefront of health care transformation.
  • Manage special projects with an orientation to results-driven work and crisp and proactive communication.
  • Help write op-eds, summary papers, reports, memos, and other communications for internal and external audiences.
  • Prepare presentations for executive and lay audiences.
  • Support other special and team projects as required.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience (paid or unpaid) meaningfully contributing to research studies or academic and/or health care-oriented projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriately related discipline, with an interest in health policy, health equity, health economics, or health services.
  • Outstanding written and communication skills.
  • The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in which the information or problems are moderately complex to complex.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly become familiar with new topics and be attentive to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Able to self-start and self-direct projects and tasks.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Orientation to collaborating with others and synthesizing information from multiple stakeholders into a coherent work product.
  • Highly self-motivated and can work independently to drive initiatives forward.

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Physical demands: In the work environment described, position requires sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer and a telephone for prolonged periods of time and good eye/hand coordination, bending and stretching for filing, and physical stamina to lift a minimum of 10 pounds. Visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job. Additionally, this position requires meeting the public and the organization in a professional and courteous manner.
Work environment: Work will be performed in an office environment. The physical arrangement of the office may require the position to work in an open environment within close proximity to other colleagues. Work will be performed in an office environment full-time (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate, with occasional evening and weekend work hours. This position requires intermittent travel, accounting for approximately 5% of the job responsibilities.
