Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting welded steel assemblies to ensure they are ready for paint.
- Instructing welders how to deliver a paint ready product and helping welders to get assemblies ready if they need more touch up.
- Grinding and sanding mostly.
- Ideally, you would get the assemblies 100% ready for paint.
- Degrease, prime and paint. Working in a paint booth.
- Moving painted assemblies to a curing room.
- The responsibility of the whole team is to ensure that the machines roll out the door without any extra delay.
- MUST HAVE experience mixing and applying epoxy and polyurethane-based paints in an automotive or industrial operation. Using spray guns. Cleaning spray guns.
- We are a low-stress, low-pressure, zero-drama company.
- You can have some flexibility over working hours but we need to have everyone here by 9 am.
- Early starts are encouraged.
- Late working, and weekend work is available.
- Overtime is frequently available.
- The only thing that really matters is rolling new-machines out the door.
- This is a new position dedicated to the final paint of this one machine before the rest of the employees take time off of what they normally do to paint the machine.
- But as we have grown we now need someone that only does this one task full-time.
- You will have some assistance and training but you are expected to know how to mix and spray paint on your first day.
- We have regular raises every April and October.
- Bonuses at the end of year are dependent on the overall profitability of the company and your own performance.
- PTO at 6 months, health insurance at 3 months.
