Job Description
We are seeking an Industrial Painter / Powder Coating Technician for a manufacturer of products relating to the collision repair industry. This is a great opportunity for growth and weekly pay!
Schedule: 1st Shift
Job Functions:
- Identifying, picking, and returning of powder boxes correctly according to a work schedule.
- Handling of electrostatic powder coating of products in a spray booth or on a conveyor line according to specifications.
- Ability to spray a powder to the correct thickness range, good standard.
- Versatility in spraying a range of products from aluminum extrusions, large flat surfaces, awkward profiles, and overcoat rejected powder-coated parts.
- Maintain all electrostatic spray guns and spray booths, spray gun parts, and booths according to instructions.
- Using industrial powder coating ovens to cure powder-coated products.
- Maintain all quality systems in order to meet production targets
- Ensure and confirm all coating standards for quality and efficiency.
- Ensure uniform and proper powder coating and viscosity quality by performing visual inspections or use of available equipment such as a thickness gauge.
- Maintain powder stock area is current and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with powder coating is required
- Manufacturing/Machine Shop experience is required
- Sheet metal experience is a plus
