Starting pay for qualified candidates is $24/hr. but could be higher depending on experience. The overall pay will be determined based on experience and skill set.
Newton County Stone is a limestone mine/quarry seeking a Industrial Maintenance Technician / Welder for our operation located in Kentland, IN. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:
Routine equipment/plant maintenance
Operating production equipment as needed
Involved with plant improvement projects
Inspect and perform daily repairs and maintenance on plant
Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, and other equipment
Required Qualifications:
Must have a dedication to safe work practices
Previous Industrial Maintenance experience is required
Minimum of 5 Years of welding / fabricating is required
Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
Must pass pre-employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with conveyor maintenance and repair is preferred
Working knowledge of quarry utilities and equipment including crushers, conveyors, scales, etc.
Experience welding and cutting
