The Industrial Maintenance Technician must embody a strong work ethic, maintain a positive attitude, possess a willingness to learn and teach, and demonstrate effective communication skills (both written and verbal). Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks, taking ownership of personal work performance, and self-motivation for consistent daily results are essential. The technician should handle facility/manufacturing-related maintenance tasks independently, multitask efficiently, take pride in their work, and consistently deliver exceptional results in terms of quality, timing, teamwork, and safety. Emphasizing continuous improvement is crucial, while also always ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and urgent repairs on Assembly/Manufacturing equipment across ECHO, ensuring a prompt, efficient, and high-quality resolution.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the Supervisor. Document all maintenance activities using the provided Maintenance/Repair Software.
- Take a proactive approach in handling maintenance projects, effectively prioritizing tasks such as longer-term projects, quick repairs, and emergency fixes.
- Work additional hours, including weekends, as needed to meet assigned deadlines and complete the required tasks.
- Support the organization of spare parts, supplies, and hardware inventories.
- Notify the supervisor of any supply needs and maintain a well-organized storage area following 5-S standards.
- Uphold daily housekeeping duties in Maintenance areas, adhering to established 5-S and OSHA standards to maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of maintenance related experience in an industrial, fast-paced, manufacturing facility.
- Experience with large HVAC systems. General repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of facility grounds equipment such as overhead lighting circuits, flat-top roofing, dock doors/plates, fire prevention systems/circuits, security systems to allow for assistance with troubleshooting, preventative maintenance support, etc.
- Welding and Fabrication. Must be able to manufacture specific pieces of equipment out of steel, aluminum, wood, plastic, etc. based on provided drawings and/or 3D models.
- Entry-level (or higher) machining experience. Knee-mill, lathe, band saw, pipe bender, etc.
- Experience with installing conduit, pulling wire, installing circuit breaker panels, etc. for single and 3-phase circuits up to 480v.
- Knowledge of how to repair/replace high voltage overhead lighting.
- Low voltage panel and equipment circuitry experience is required. Ability to troubleshoot, identify failed components, and replace to get equipment back up and running.
- Experience with equipment hydraulic circuits and components. Examples: Trash/cardboard compactors, forklift/aerial lifts, manufacturing related pipe bending equipment.
- Experience with compressed air/pneumatic systems: This starts with the facility compressed air system and ends with assembly/manufacturing presses/equipment.
- General forklift/aerial lift troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis and be able to team-lift items that weigh up to 150 lbs. intermittently.
- Verbal and written communication skills. English required; Spanish (bilingual) preferred.
