What You’ll Be Doing
- Disassembles and reassembles machinery and equipment to make repairs
- Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment in order to verify the adequacy of repairs
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance by cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts, equipment, and machinery
- Inspects and diagnoses mechanical and electrical systems of industrial machinery
- Troubleshoots malfunctions on production line equipment and make repairs to faulty equipment
- Replaces faulty mechanical components of a machine
- Repairs or replaces defective mechanical parts according to equipment manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications related to equipment
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Performs installation of new equipment in compliance with company standards
- Completes work orders of repairs based on work performed
Who We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of motors, pneumatic, conveyor systems, and production machines by following
- Able to read and understand Blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
- Able to use a variety of mechanical instruments, powered and non-powered tools
- Welding knowledge is a PLUS
- Able to understand operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
- Must possess good reasoning skills to operate and troubleshoot machine processes
- Must be able to conduct tests to locate mechanical and electrical system malfunctions
What You Can Expect
- $22.00 – $26.00/hr, based on experience
- Training schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
- Following training: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 11:30pm
