Overview
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, our Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical production machinery throughout all departments in the plant and warehouse, supporting the activities and efforts of the Plant Engineer and the production staff at large.
What You'll Do
Oversee equipment maintenance, repair, and installation.
Ensure all equipment is operational.
Respond to reports of downtime from production manager/production staff timely to fix on-floor problems in automated filling machines, tanks, etc.
Set up new new equipment, i.e. PD pumps, thermal heaters, compressor equipment.
Responsible to ensure all daily production and compounding moves forward without mechanical issues
Responsible for KPIs as assigned.
Responsible for decreasing downtime, set up time, and complexity.
Support development of set up sheets.
Maintain inventory of change parts, equipment, tools, etc.
Maintain all necessary department paperwork.
Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining departmental work instructions and SOPs.
Other duties as assigned.
What We Require
2+ years maintenance experience
Experience with machinery for automated filling with pucks, conveyers, rotary filler, etc.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma
Degree in engineering or similar discipline preferred
Excellent knowledge of production equipment.
Understand all tools and equipment utilized by the company.
Maintain a safe, organized and sanitary workspace. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO guidelines.
Maintain a professional and positive attitude throughout shift.
Reliable, consistent attendance in-person
Capable of working under stress and in action-demanding situations when required and willingness to work beyond normal work hours, if necessary, to meet deadlines.
Must be available/reachable during off hours in cases of emergency.
- Available Monday to Friday 5PM—2AM (2nd Shift) with flexibility for occasional overtime or emergencies
