Normal Work Schedule (Other):: Tri-County typically operates during the hours of Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The successful candidate can expect to travel between multiple campuses in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties.

Job Responsibilities
Tri-County Technical College is seeking Full-Time Industrial Maintenance Instructors for our Corporate and Community Education Division. Instructors will organize, plan, and deliver instruction for classroom theory and practical lab skills for Industrial Maintenance Technician competencies and manage classroom administrative duties. Full-time instructors also build partnerships with local industries through onsite visits to analyze needs and provide viable training solutions.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide direct support to occupational advancement training including conducting training needs assessments, developing/customizing relevant curricula, developing affordable proposals for company-specific training, scheduling resources, developing/procuring training materials, preparing training sites, delivering effective instruction on/off campus, evaluating courses and expand personal knowledge/expertise.
Market programs/services of the College to include: coordinate Enterprise Zone activities (i.e., develop and modify training plans, coordinate approved training, answer inquiries), visit individual companies, attend focus/advisory groups, participate in civic/professional meetings, participate in telemarketing events, make referrals to appropriate internal/external organizations and evaluate/adjust marketing efforts.
Perform administrative tasks in support of classroom instruction including initiating timely billing of customers through the preparation of course folders, preparing appropriate forms to register students manually, and through automated registration systems. Based on training needs assessment, select adjunct instructors with appropriate skills, coordinate training courses, monitor the conduct of training to ensure it meets customer expectations, and assist in follow-up and peer evaluation.
Serve on College committees, task forces, and other organized teams or groups when requested or appointed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in training development.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, which may include coursework in a Community College or University setting, and/or work experience. Candidates should have functional competencies in the following areas:
Basic Electrical
Motor Controls
Mechanical Drives
Fluid Power
Programmable Logic Controls (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
Manual Machining
Blueprint Reading
CNC Lathe, Milling
CMM
Robotics
Experience with installation, integration, and setup of Robot fed CNC and CMM automated systems including programming a premium.
Teaching and/or training experience preferred, but not necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
Provides the opportunity for the student to develop, set up, and integrate work cells into manufacturing systems at a beginner to an advanced level.
