Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Successfully operate the shredding line equipment while complying with all safety standards, regulations and operating procedures
- Successfully operate the shredding line equipment following company standards and settings while maximizing production and minimizing downtime
- Successfully execute machine set-ups, start-ups, changeovers, steady state operations and preventative maintenance (PM’s)
- Conduct validation testing to ensure all finished products comply with company packaging and quality control standards and guidelines
- Monitor and examine equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation
- Troubleshoot equipment stops, breakdowns, and downtime root causes
- Notify shift supervisor of any equipment or quality issues or problems
- Accurately enter, document and maintain all production paperwork and KPI metrics including daily and hourly production rates, downtime root causes, and the associated downtime minutes
- Perform all required equipment cleaning and maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Participate in training, retraining and continual improvement processes and methods
- Follow and comply with all company safety standards, work rules, and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
