Job Description
Load material into machine, program machine for cuts and perform fabrication. Strong attention to detail, use of measuring tools, and the ability to use basic mathematical skills are required for this position.
Prior experience using manual machines is required. CNC machine experience is preferred but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work from process sheets, blueprints or other written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks.
- Load and stage material into machine, perform necessary operation to complete fabrication.
- Operate, program and set up machine as needed for part fabrication.
- Keep written record of tasks performed, time spent, and any other additional data required by project.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and working areas in clean, neat, and orderly condition; use prescribed safety equipment and follow safety rules.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Previous experience using manual machines (3 years)
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations
(add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement. * High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.
- Prolonged stooping, kneeling, walking and standing.
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/ respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
