What You'll Do
As the Industrial Hygienist, you will be responsible for the identification, evaluation, and control of industrial/occupational hygiene health hazards. You will conduct assessments and inspections of worksites, monitor employees and contractors exposure to hazards, and develop and implement control measures. Other duties include:
  • Provide training to employees on health and safety related issues.
  • Ensure completion and thoroughness of all qualitative assessments.
  • Conduct quantitative assessments where needed to meet compliance with company standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Monitor employee exposure to hazards through sampling and analysis.
  • Provide summary reports of exposure and biological monitoring results to management, the H&S advisor and to affected work groups.
  • Conduct inspections of worksites to identify and evaluate industrial/occupational hygiene health hazards.
  • Ensure risk management plan is in place and adhered to where industrial/occupational hygiene health hazards are found.
  • Develop and implement control measures to reduce or eliminate hazards.
  • Compile and maintain records of industrial/occupational hygiene health data.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Participate and lead H&S projects.
  • Travel 50% or above to different locations within the US, Canada, and Latin America.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, teambuilding workshops and special working groups to continually improve performance and replicate best practices.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, environmental health, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in industrial hygiene or a related field.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365 and Access.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
