Job Summary:
As an Industrial Finisher at Wellborn + Wright, you will play a crucial role in our production process, applying finishes to wood and metal products to meet specific aesthetic and durability requirements. Your expertise in both machinery and spraying techniques will ensure the highest quality of finish, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our clients and the reputation of our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces of wood and metal products for finishing, ensuring they are clean, smooth, and ready for application.
- Operate finishing machinery and equipment with precision, adhering to safety and operational guidelines.
- Apply coatings, stains, and finishes by hand, using sprayers and other tools, achieving consistent and high-quality results.
- Mix and match paints, stains, and other finishing materials according to formulae and color charts.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the finishing process to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with finishing equipment, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to schedules.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations related to wood and metal finishing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Finisher, with a focus on wood and metal products.
- Proficiency in operating finishing machinery and equipment.
- Skilled in hand spraying techniques and familiar with a variety of finishes.
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving high standards of quality.
- Ability to mix and apply finishes according to precise specifications.
