Industrial Engineer & Product Manager

Job description

As an Industrial Designer at ARK Products, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our product portfolio. You will work closely with the Product Development Team and Manufacturing to conceptualize, design, and bring to market innovative products that drive our business forward.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Collaborate with the Product Development Team to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
• Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming
• Produce artistic and creative sketches/renders of advanced industrial design concepts
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) to create detailed designs and technical drawings.
• Create and Print 3D product prototypes that are both non-functional and working to evaluate their practicality.
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure designs are feasible for production and meet safety standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Adhere to project timelines and budgetary constraints, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and within scope.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external manufacturing partners, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring clear communication channels are established and maintained.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 
  Proven experience in product design and development. Experience with Medical, Childrens and Special Needs products is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and other design tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and requirements related to product design and development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and/or 3D printing technologies is a plus.
