Industrial Electrician Apprentice

Work on the cutting edge of electrical systems in a manufacturing environment, learning and developing skills under direct guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE): Stop work and report any hazards. Comply with standards and regulations. Use personal protective equipment. Promote interdependence and environmental responsibility. Engage in HSE training.
• Quality: Apply high standards of workmanship. Support equipment uptime and failure analysis. Perform work using various tools and instruments. Provide feedback for maintenance. Follow quality procedures and perform inspections.
• Delivery: Attend classes to build electrical skills. Complete on-the-job training hours. Repair and maintain equipment. Assist in maintenance activities. Maintain a clean work area. Solve problems and improve processes.
• Teamwork: Communicate effectively. Participate in training and development. Actively contribute to improvement activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimal or no work experience required.
• Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Fanuc Robotics.
• Equipment uptime and failure analysis.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, electrical repairs, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of codes and standards.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• 2-year tech degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Constructions and Maintenance, Automation Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Eligible for an NYS Journey worker Card upon program completion.
